Cameron Neil Obituary, Death  – A tragic two-vessel collision on the Intracoastal Waterway in Baldwin County has left one woman dead and several others injured, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The collision occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, near Wolf Bay, according to ALEA.

Investigators said Kristin Delaney, 46, of Mobile, Alabama, was a passenger aboard a 27-foot 2024 Albury Brothers vessel when it collided with a 23-foot 2013 Key West vessel operated by Cameron Neil, 32, of Houma, Louisiana.

Following the impact, emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance to those injured in the collision. Kristin Delaney sustained critical injuries and was transported to South Baldwin Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts.

Her death has left family members, friends, and the Mobile community mourning a heartbreaking loss while extending prayers and support to her loved ones during this difficult time.

ALEA also reported that Brooks Delaney, 51, of Fairhope, another passenger aboard the Albury Brothers vessel, was injured in the crash and transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, for medical treatment.

The Albury Brothers vessel was being operated by Drew Delaney, 49, of Mobile. Authorities said there were eight people aboard that vessel, including the operator, at the time of the collision.

Meanwhile, Cameron Neil, 32, of Houma, Louisiana, was identified by investigators as the operator of the 23-foot Key West vessel involved in the crash. Authorities have not released additional information regarding injuries to occupants of that vessel.

ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Investigators are expected to examine witness statements, vessel damage, navigation conditions, weather, and other factors to determine what led to the tragic incident.

As the investigation remains active, officials have not released further details regarding the cause of the collision.

The fatal crash serves as another reminder of the importance of boating safety during the busy summer season. Authorities continue encouraging boat operators to remain vigilant on Alabama waterways, observe navigation rules, maintain safe speeds, and exercise caution to help prevent future tragedies.

Kristin Delaney is being remembered by loved ones as the community continues to grieve her unexpected passing. Funeral arrangements have not yet been publicly announced.
